Maximum length: 13 cm (5 in)
Minimum aquarium size: 209 L (55 gal)
Water: Marine 24 °C (297 K, 75 °F) - 28 °C (301 K, 82 °F)
[edit] Feeding
Meaty foods, including finely shredded frozen seafood, mysid shrimp, frozen preparations, pigment-enriched flake food, and Cyclop-eeze. Feed at least twice a day.
[edit] Aquarium Compatibility
It can be kept in harems in large aquariums, but it is advisable to introduce just one male per tank, except in very large systems. It may also quarrel with congeners (especially those that are similar in color). Although it often mixes with other fairy wrasses (Cirrhilabrus species) and flasher wrasses (Paracheilinus species) in the wild, it is likely to pick on the latter if space is limited.
[edit] Notes
This species is synomous with Cirrhilabrus lyukyuensis. Some sources believe them to be color morphs of the same species.
