Huge Variety of Life

Located in Chattanooga, the Aquarium is an oasis of life: marine, invertebrate, mammalian and amphibian. Species include epaulette sharks, black stingray, moon jellies, green morays, sand tiger sharks, giant spider crabs, beluga sturgeon and giant Pacific octopus, among many others.

Fun for the Whole Family

Family friendly events such as learning how to weave a kudzu basket and learning about a day in the life of a penguin keeper will keep the kids entertained. Seahorse exhibit contains more than 15 kinds of seahorses, including tigersnout and potbelly varieties.

Sleepover

Guests who don’t feel like leaving the Aquarium (or guests who just want some quieter time with the animals) can book an overnight there. It’s called Sleep in the Deep, and guests get their shut-eye next to the shark tank after an evening of learning.

Dedication to Conservation

Volunteers work with various initiatives aimed at regional conservation: saving seahorses, monitoring water quality in the Tennessee/Cumberland River Basin, and working to bring back native species to the area. __________________________ {{{short_description}}}
