Acquario Comunale 'Diacinto Cestoni'

Founded in 1937, the Leghorn Aquarium takes its name from the naturalist Diacinto Cestoni. It faces the ocean in the city center. Since 1968, the Aquarium has been home to a team of marine biologists. It serves as the Center of Marine Biology for the cities of Bologna, Florence, Modena, Siena, Pisa and Turin.
