[edit] Notes
This plant and the many hybrids that are associated with it are often sold in plastic bags in discount stores while in the dormant state. Within a few days of being introduced to the aquarium, they will start to produce leaves. This splendid plant tolerates a wide range of keeping conditions and keeps growing. Undulatus will serve in the midground or as a specimen. It is not so large that it shadows smaller plants. Some plants seem not to require dormancy, while others die back in the winter months and need to be removed from the aquarium to a cool, moist area. The plant will flower in the aquarium.
