Horizontalis

[edit] Overview

Horizontalis has much to recommend it in aquarium culture. It doesn’t get too big and it is not demanding in any respect. It does grow slowly, though, and is not very fertile. Compared with some plants in this genus, that is an asset.

Family: Alismataceae

Other common name(s):

Native range:

Habitat: The plants grow in sun and shade, in shallow water with a substrate that enables the root system to establish itself.

Maximum height: 35 cm (14 in)

Lighting: Medium light intensity

Water: Freshwater 25 °C (298 K, 77 °F) - 29 °C (302 K, 84 °F)

[edit] Feeding

A nutrient-rich substrate will optimize the growth potential of a plant that does grow rather slowly.

[edit] Breeding/Propagation

Grows in weakly acidic, soft water.
