Here is a fascinating pairing of a Blackray Shrimp Goby and its snapping shrimp partner (usually the very beautiful, scarlet-splotched Randall’s Snapping Shrimp, Alpheus randalli). The shrimp is a serious excavator so provide a sturdy reef structure such as a flat piece of rock for it to burrow under.
The Firefish provides color and activity higher up in the water column.
