DWARF GOBIES

Astonishingly small, the tiny species in this genus are best suited to the nano-reef. In the average reef aquarium, they are almost sure to be eaten or disappear from sight.

They are naturally short-lived and are hermaphrodites: dominant females change to males (which are dominant over females), while males can revert back to females if need be.

Their husbandry needs are the same as those of the Eviota species. Keep them singly or in small groups. Some hover in the water column; others prefer to sit in repose on the substrate. Some display a jerky swimming behavior, while others swim in a heads-up fashion.

All are potential prey items for a wide array of fish tankmates.
