[edit] Marine Mammal Stranding Center

[edit] Saving the Whales. And the Seals.

Since 1978, the MMSC, which is run by a husband-and-wife team, has worked as a non-profit organization that responds to reports of stranded whales dolphins, seals and sea turtles that wash up on New Jersey Beaches. The Center works to rehabilitate the animals and then set them back into the wild when they are well enough. So far, they have rescued more than 3100 animals. Their release rate is 89%.
