SLENDER ANTHIAS

The six species in this genus form small to large shoals, which often include other zooplankton-feeding fishes like their cousins, the Pseudanthias species. Unlike many of their relatives, Luzonichthys males and females do not differ in coloration.

Keep them in small groups (five or more individuals) in a reef aquarium with strong water movement. Belligerent fishes may pick on them, including their more aggressive anthias relatives. A small group of chromis damselfishes and dart gobies may encourage slender anthias to come out from hiding and to feed. The anthias in this genus will not behave aggressively toward other fishes.
