75-Gallon Peaceful Aquarium—Caribbean
From Microcosm Aquarium Explorer
[edit] A Model Marine Aquarium
This is a collection of interesting species one might see anywhere from the Florida Keys and the Bahamas to the coast of Venezuela.
The chromis, Chalk Bass, and Royal Gramma provide color and activity throughout the tank, while the jawfishes will spend their time near the aquarium bottom (provide them with an open area of coral sand at least 4 inches deep).
The Swissguard Basslet tends to be more secretive, and needs a cave or rocky crevices where it will lurk in security.
A pair of red-and-white Banded Coral Shrimp would make a realistic, easy to care for, invertebrate addition.
- 3 Yellowhead Jawfish Opistognathus aurifrons
- 2 Chalk Bass Serranus tortugarum
- 1 Blue Chromis Chromis cyanea
- 1 Swissguard Basslet Liopropoma rubre
- 2 Royal Gramma Gramma loreto
- 2 Banded Coral Shrimp Stenopus hispidus
