Like others in the family, the Neon Dottyback is ideal for nano-reef tanks because it remains small, is brilliantly colorful, and is often too aggressive to keep in smaller tanks with other fishes. Provide a small cave of live rock for the fish to hide in. It might well attack and eat any shrimp tankmate, but mushroom anemones such as the Warty Corallimorph would be hardy and safe in this tiny reef.
